Vipers News · Swim and Dive Weekly update Oct 12th

Parents and Athletes,

LAST DUAL MEET OF THE SEASON!!!!  Our last dual meet of the season is on OCT 18th at Cactus High School pool against Mountain Ridge.  They have some strong swimmers and extremely tough divers.  We hope to see you out there in support of our DIVERS and SWIMMERS!  Meet line up for swimmers is posted here –>Verrado vs. Mountain Ridge Line-Up

GREEN AND GOLD INVITE:  Location: Moon Valley Country Club at 151 W. Moon Valley Drive.  Coach Hobbs is finishing up entries and those will be posted soon.  Please remember this is a state qualifying meet and we have a limited number of entries per event.  Coach Hobbs is trying to get everyone in at least one invitational this season.

POOL CLOSURE: The YMCA pool will be closed on Monday and Tuesday (Oct 15th and 16th) for repairs.  We will not have practice either day.  Please plan your transportation home accordingly.  Club practice at the YMCA will also be cancelled both days.  Please note there will be no bus to the YMCA either day.  We will see you all Wednesday, Oct 17th.  Question please contact the coaching staff at

WVI INVITATIONAL RECAP:  This was the biggest West Valley Invite to date.  Coach Stewart along with Michele Hartwick from the YMCA ran this invitational.  Coach Stewart got to see a handful of races and dives when she wasn’t making sure all athletes were getting their proper times or helping with injured athletes.  She is extremely proud of the way the Verrado Divers and Swimmers presented themselves and their behavior during the meet.  Great job at setting the standard for athlete behavior.
